Description

On the Scottish coast, Archibald Hunter?s cryptic visions lead him toward Spanish Armada treasure and into danger and love with American heiress Marjory Drake. Stoker?s blend of espionage, romance, and the supernatural. Spoken as when the sea keeps old codes and new hearts in the same tide of risk and desire.

Author

Bram Stoker (1847–1912) wrote Dracula and then had to live in its shadow. An Irishman in London, he kept Irving's theatre running by day and, by night, invented a vampire who travels by timetable and feeds on paperwork as much as blood. The novel is a collage of voices; the monster is organised. Later cinema gave him a look; Stoker gave him a method. Twenty titles sit here, most of them quieter than the one that named a genre.
