Description

Tommy Splint, workhouse foundling, guides sailor Sam Blake through London toward Chimney-Pot Liz and Susy, whose garden grows on a roof above a garret. They hunt Elizabeth Morley and a lost daughter while villains gather on the stairs. Friendship and poverty sit high above the streets; a patch of green holds hope in the city's low life. The search is for Susy, spoken in London talk among garrets and rooftops.
