Author

Johanna Spyri (1827–1901) wrote Heidi, the Swiss mountain story that made alpine air a moral climate. Spyri wrote more than the one famous book: stories of Swiss village life, faith, and the difference a landscape can make to a character. Heidi's success was immediate and international.
