The summer moon shone brightly down upon the sleeping earth, while far away from mortal eyes danced the Fairy folk. Author

Louisa May Alcott is a renowned American author and poet, best known for her semi-autobiographical novel Little Women. She was a prodigious writer of both fiction and non-fiction, and was an active participant in the Transcendentalist movement. Her works were greatly influenced by the social change that occurred during the 19th century in America, particularly in regards to women's rights.
