Veda Vyasa

Veda Vyasa — Vyasa of the Vedas — is the traditional compiler of the Mahabharata and the voice behind the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna's discourse to Arjuna between the two armies. Three titles here, including an abridged Ramayana and Mahabharata and The Song Celestial. The name marks a library more than a biography: epic, lyric, and a philosophy spoken on the eve of war.
