Selma Lagerlof

Selma Lagerlöf (1858–1940) wrote as Sweden's great storyteller — a novelist who could make a province feel like a kingdom and a goose flight feel like an epic. Her Nobel Prize in 1909 recognised not just achievement but imagination: a literature of idealism, compassion, and wonder.
