Description

Epictetus gathered for personal growth and resilience: the Enchiridion as a practical guide to Stoic ethics; the Discourses as dialogues on living virtuously; the Golden Sayings as concise insights; Cleanthes’ Hymn as a poetic tribute to providence. Self-discipline, rationality, acceptance of what life brings. True freedom in mastering perception and desire — inner peace practised against outer turmoil. Aimed at the serious student: a spoken roadmap toward wisdom, virtue, and alignment with nature.

Author

Epictetus was a Greek-speaking Stoic philosopher. He lived in Rome until his banishment, when he went to Nicopolis in north-western Greece for the rest of his life. Epictetus taught that philosophy is a way of life and not just a theoretical discipline. To Epictetus, all external events are beyond our control; we should accept whatever happens calmly and dispassionately.
