Description

A young mermaid loves a human prince and bargains with the sea witch for legs at the price of her voice and constant pain, then watches him choose another bride until foam and the daughters of the air claim what human love would not. Companion Andersen tales widen wonder and sorrow. Spoken as when the little mermaid still asks what a soul will pay for a world that will not choose her.
