Description

A mesmerizing tale of passion and deception through the lens of an unreliable narrator. Set against the backdrop of pre-World War I Europe, the story unravels the seemingly perfect lives of two affluent couples, gradually exposing infidelity and betrayal. Through a non-linear narrative, Ford explores themes of love, honor, and the complexities of human relationships, offering a poignant critique of societal norms and the masks we wear.

Author

Ford Madox Ford (1873-1939) was an English novelist, poet, critic, and editor whose journals The English Review and The Transatlantic Review helped shape early twentieth-century English and American literature. He is best remembered for The Good Soldier (1915), the Parade's End tetralogy (1924-1928), and The Fifth Queen trilogy (1906-1908). The Good Soldier is frequently ranked among the greatest novels of the twentieth century.
