Description

Mead among the disciples of Thrice-greatest Hermes: ancient Egyptian theosophy, a Religion of the Mind, texts he spent months putting into English. The Gnosis of the Mind, The Big Nest ebook — not a church catechism. Hellenistic devotion, beauty of thought, a fraternity beside early Christianity. For readers of the Hermetic stream. A scholar’s doorway, not a novel. Mind as a sacred attention. The surviving fragments treated as a world you can still enter, carefully, on the page.

Author

G. R. S. Mead (1863–1933) was an English historian and translator who opened Hermetic, Gnostic, and Neoplatonic texts to a modern readership. A prominent Theosophist and later founder of the Quest Society, he treated ancient wisdom as living literature rather than museum dust. Pistis Sophia, his studies of Hermes, and related works in our catalogue show a scholar who wanted the hidden traditions of late antiquity to speak clearly in English.
