Author

Daniel Defoe was an English writer and journalist who is best known for his novel Robinson Crusoe. Defoe was born in London in 1660 and died in 1731. He began his career as a businessman but later turned to writing. In addition to Robinson Crusoe, Defoe wrote many other novels, including Moll Flanders and A Journal of the Plague Year. He is considered one of the most important writers of the 18th century.
