Description

Young Katharine Howard arrives at Henry VIII’s treacherous court, where shifting allegiances and political hunger surround her first steps toward dangerous favour. Ambition, integrity, and survival meet on the threshold of power before the crown’s allure can finish shaping her fate. Opening volume of Tudor intrigue and peril. Spoken as when the fifth queen still asks what a girl becomes once the palace doors close behind her.

Author

Ford Madox Ford (1873-1939) was an English novelist, poet, critic, and editor whose journals The English Review and The Transatlantic Review helped shape early twentieth-century English and American literature. He is best remembered for The Good Soldier (1915), the Parade's End tetralogy (1924-1928), and The Fifth Queen trilogy (1906-1908). The Good Soldier is frequently ranked among the greatest novels of the twentieth century.
