Description

May Agnes Fleming (1840-1880) was a Canadian novelist who wrote popular fiction under several pseudonyms, including Cousin May Carleton and M. Earlie. Prolific and widely read in her lifetime, she was one of the most successful women writers of nineteenth-century North America.
