Description

Pranayama is a form of yoga that is focused on controlling the breath. By practicing pranayama, students can learn to control their body and mind, and achieve a more peaceful state of being. Pranayama is often used as a way to prepare for meditation, and can be helpful in reducing stress and anxiety. This audio book offers a complete manual of these breathing techniques with many practical exercises and understanding of philosophical, psychic, and spiritual aspects of pranayama practice. Read in English, unabridged.

Author

Yogi Ramacharaka was a pen name of William Walker Atkinson (1862–1932), the American New Thought author behind a shelf of early yoga and occult instruction for Western readers. Under this name he taught breath, raja yoga, and gnani wisdom in a confident lesson style. With 12 titles in our catalogue, Ramacharaka remains one of the clearest bridges from Eastern practice to popular English self-culture at the turn of the twentieth century.
