Description

Two left boots, a piano-tuner, a hotel mistake. Hear Chekhov’s Boots unabridged in English: Murkin, Semyon, an actress’s room, Pavel who only lodges on Tuesdays, Madame Shevelitsyn waiting. A comic disaster of footwear and appointments. Sovereign spoken story. Nothing epic. The wrong pair, holes, a man who still has to go. Listen to farce at the scale of a landing. Russian humour, a client upstairs, the attendant’s logic. A short tale for the ear, unabridged, petty and perfect.
