Westminster Divines

The Westminster Divines were the theologians of the Westminster Assembly, called by the English Parliament in the 1640s to reform the church. The Westminster Shorter Catechism and Larger Catechism are their most portable work: doctrine as question and answer for school and Sunday. Two titles here. What is the chief end of man?
