Marjory Wardrop

Marjory Wardrop (1869–1909) was a Scottish scholar who learned Georgian and opened that literature to English readers. Georgian Folk Tales is the harvest of that devotion — mountain stories, clever animals, a culture she loved enough to dress in its clothes. She died young; the translations remain a bridge. One title here, and a whole folklore walks across it.
