John Nelson Darby

John Nelson Darby (1800–1882) was an Anglo-Irish Bible teacher and a founding voice of the Plymouth Brethren. He is widely regarded as the father of modern dispensationalism and of the pre-tribulation rapture teaching that later shaped much of evangelical prophecy study. Darby's writings combine close scriptural exegesis with a stark sense of the church's calling. The Man of Sorrows in our catalogue reflects that earnest, Christ-centred intensity.
