William Morris
William Morris (1834–1896) was poet, designer, craftsman, and socialist — a founder of the Arts and Crafts movement who also helped invent modern fantasy. News from Nowhere imagined a just England; The Well at the World's End and The Wood Beyond the World sent readers into quests of language as rich as tapestry. Morris wanted beauty in daily things and stories that felt handmade. With 19 titles here, he is both a dreamer of medieval worlds and a critic of his own industrial age.
