Ash-throated Flycatcher

The ash-throated flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens) is a medium-sized passerine bird of the tyrant flycatcher family, found across the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America. It favours open woodlands, desert scrub, and riparian corridors — often perching in plain view to deliver its dry, whistled song. In Ambient recordings from Californian woodlands, its clear voice adds bright, airy texture beside babbling streams and the wider chorus of woodland birds.
