Trump and the Stock Market

President Trump has often touted gains in the stock market since his election, so naturally the press wants him to take, er, credit for the recent ugly plunge in equities. Stock indexes fell 12% or more Monday as investors reacted to the expanding government shutdowns and word that the coronavirus threat could last until July and August.
